Salisauraus

Magic Stick?
The Salisauraus was thought to be extinct until an abandoned nest with eggs was found in 1999 on the banks of the Limpopo by the eminent natural historian, professor Ivor Adyer of the Vienna Institute. A full size replica of this nest is displayed here.

The Salixsauraus has been named after its favorite food material which is Willow, (Genus Salix), and indeed the Salisauraus also uses this material for nest building and for cover from its main predator the munchamaximus

Note how the eggs vary in shape, size and wrinkle pattern. It is believed that the shell of the egg is soft when first laid, hardening on exposure to the air. It is also thought that larger eggs produce males, and smaller eggs females.

It can be seen that one of the eggs is pink, it is believed that this animal may well be an early ancestor of the Pokemon Exeggcute. Particularly as it is known to be susceptible to attack from the Leech Seed and its eggs are of a similar size to this Egg Pokemon. (Length 1' 14" and weight 6lb).

Unfortunately no photograph of the parent animal exists, however, it is believed to resemble the Pokemon Charmander although it is thought to be rougly twice the size of this Pokemon based on the size of the eggs found.
